Where to market?

I am having trouble in determining where I should market my site and what to add to my site to make it more original. I try links and articles, but is there a better way than link exchanges and ezinearticles.com. My site is www.weeklyromance.com, please check it out I am open to all suggestions.

The are a number of ways you could promote your site like being active in other romance oriented forums , social networks , social bookmarking . Ensure that your post are relevent and you will get relevant traffic dont go spamming the boards.

Guest blog posting is another way as well as blog commenting but same rules apply be relevant top the topic in question as well as add value not just plugging your url away.

A comprehensive seo strategy is worth planning out.

Before promoting a site, add content. Otherwise all the traffic will bounce. There is no point to waste time & money by promoting ... nothing.

What to add to your site to make it original? The answer is in the question. Hire someone to write content only for you (original) or write your own content.

 

As ezine says, make sure your site is 95% there before promoting, otherwise you're wasting your time. Once the site is right, for quick results then paid marketing (adwords, etc) might be an option to keep traffic up whilst you build some natural links. It will be a long journey to success without any paid traffic.

dreadman, you said something I thought was interesting, you spoke of other romance oriented forums, so there are forums about romance?
I'm new here, very new... so this particular forum is about online marketing, correct?
And am I to understand there are forums on romance as well?

Are there forums on specialized topics? And can we join them for free like we can join this one for free?

 

It's just like fishing. You go where the pond is stocked. The single biggest mistake that people make is building something then trying to figure out if there is a market.

If you want to catch fish you first find the river, stream, or lake and decide if there are fish. Then you get the equipment and go to work.

 

Articles and blog post are gonna be your best bet....that is a content driven, adsense dependant website...you need to focus on getting pages indexed and keywords
