That sound a lot like it, a lot of people don't know the costs behind managing a forum. In addition to working day and night, a forum can be way more expensive than a website, for the only reason that a forum keps growing, more bandwidth, more web-space, more people to moderate it and so and so, while most websites stay the same. I may be wrong but from experience, forums are not profitable all the time.

no actually. There is 1000 of people who make money with DP. Check buy and sell their is lots of people selling there products and dp owner not taking any fees for selling.
Look at his date of joining. He is one of DP's older members. I assume he had that as his avatar before Shawn changed the rules. SarahK had a GIF animation as her avatar too, but she has changed it now to a normal static picture.
I don't know why people want to know this I saw hundreds of threads for the same questions in past.... Are they gonna buy dp with paying 12 months revenues to shawn ?

LOL I dont think Shawn makes much money from adsense. Because being a webmaster myself I never click on google ads due to the fear of getting my adsense account banned. All webmasters think the same way.
