I wondered what everyone did to draw people to their blog posts? Do you ping, digg, add to delicious etc? Do you do this for every new post?

I use a variety of techniques. Pinging, digging, delicious, fark, stumbleupon, facebook, twitter, blog commenting, etc. I don't do it for every post, because not every post would be worth the effort and I don't use the same sites and same techniques for every post, because different topics fit better in some places and some don't.

I've been spinning my blog posts and then submitting them to article directories for some backlinks. Also for some posts I will bookmark them, but I just started doing this so I can exactly comment on the results.

digg, mixx and other related social sites with high traffic.
    article sites,
    blog hosting sites
... and any other source where you can distribute your posts.

RSS feeds, Digg/Reddit/Mixx, also trying to post and quote the article in forums helps too.

Each blog post I make targets a specific keyword.

So really its beyond just promoting a post, its trying to rank for a keyword.

I pull all out "the guns" possible. Social bookmarking, article marketing, buying blog posts, etc.. etc..

    Hey There,

I tend to do the following.

    1. Use Onlywire - submits to many different types of social sites such as digg, twitter, facebook, and more.

    2. Ping - not always

    3. Rss feeds

    Thanks,

    Chris

I also use reddit. This can work equally as well as digg and mixx. Reddit seems to have a more tech savvy following.
