What can I do with 4000 hit/s day.

Hi all I'm getting close to 4,000 hits a day to one of my sites. 92% of the traffic is from SEs.

What is the next step now, what is the best way to monetize this?

When you say "hits" do you mean page impressions? (That's 4000 pages viewed a day not 4000 files served just to clarify.)

Why not get AdSense onboard? Or, depending on what your site is about, some Chitika?

It all depends on what your site is about. Check to see if there are any high paying affiliate offers in your niche. Check to see the the estimated eCPM makes it worthwhile to go the Adsense route. Regardless of what you do, start an opt in email list. It's worth a mint if you want to do go for lead generation or develop your own product

It's 4000 pages viewed close to 100% unique

I had my ad-sense account closed down way back in 2003. I think I'm going to start an opt in light though.

It is probably worth spending a few bucks to get back into Adsense - even if you're only going to use it for secondary income.

Register a company name (CC, LLC - what ever is cheapest and easiest wherever you are) Get a bank account, postal address etc in the name of the new company.

Re apply for Adsense in the name of the new entity. I also managed to get myself (stupidly) kicked out in about 2004 and managed to get back in using this technique.

This year alone I managed to buy myself a brand new car thanks to my secondary Google income. It's only a VW Golf, but Google covers the installments, insurance, satellite tracking etc

Any network that would pay you more than $1 per CPM.

Why settle for $4 per day when you can make $200 per day with Adsense on the same traffic? (depending on niche of cource...)

Today I have just hit 6000 visits, can anyone suggest a good CPM network that I might be interested in using?

Are there any networks that have those floating div ads? That would be ideal.

Why not create a product or service to sell on your site.

If you don't know how to do it hire someone to do it.

That is where you make your money. Advertising and all that is just spare change.

It's 4000 pageviews (not hits) almost 100% unique correct?

So you're averaging 1 page per visitor?

Is this is a search or file upload site?

In that case you're going to need first-impression monetization, not passive ads that you hope eventually people will click as they're reading articles. Pop-unders, cpa, surveys, adsense, maybe a related clickbank product...those types of offers.

I have a good result with in-text ads using: infolinks.com, you could try clickbank too, or promote any affiliate program related to your niche/topic. Success for you.

to say Adsense is the end all way to make money with those hits is wishful thinking. Adsense is amazing but I also have sites receiving thousands of hits a day, where adsense is not performing well. In most cases adsense > everything, but if you put the time and effort into it and create sales pages affiliates are the way to go.
