    Hey guys,

Firstly I hope this post is in the right section.

Now I know the views may be a bit biased because obviously we are DP members but I thought I would create another experiment to see which is better for selling a website.

I dont particularly like the fee changes and the other changes with flippa but I concede its probably the best place to sell a website.

You can check out my experiment here.

I will have final results at the end of the week. Where do you guys think is the best place to sell a website?

I heard many people got success selling their site at higher price in flippa rather than here. the big different from both sites are one free and the other need to pay for listing. And I heard that many potential buyer will searching in flippa than DP :)

Well, I haven't heard much about Flippa but I don't like it.
DP is the best place to get each and everything. :)

Flipa is scammer's paradise to hunt noobs attracted by "make money on internet easy" mirage.

Ability to delete comments that unmask the scammer is the main reason for this.

Has to be one of the biggest flaws for flippa. I totally agree seasoned webmasters generally expose scammers for the greater good but can be moderated there.

I would say DP if you looking to buy normal site such as blog.
But if you aim for premium site such as eommerce site then go for flippa.
Just a suggesetion, why don't you compare it with SitePoint?

For a site under $1000. DP is better for sure.

Flippa is a scam.. with all the fees and percentages they take.

I sold a couple of sites of sitepiont (the old Flippa) and both times fake buyers bought them couldn’t get a hold of a site admin so I had to re pay another listing fee.
Scam… I found out that happens a lot..

Now Flippa takes a large listing fee and percentage set up by the same guys famous for fake buyers.
I don’t think I want to pay that game..

If I spend all of the hours to build a site promote it and all the other work why should I give someone like %20 just to sell it.
    Flippa Sucks.

DP Flippa is much more convenient as a buyer as it has a better structure. It is also more "organized" as it is an actual bidding structure whereas on DP there are no specific rules. But having said that, DP is also working.

    My Vote for DP.
I think we can get more price for our website in flippa than here.
But that doesn't make me vote for flippa 'cos DP is free :D

    oh DP best or not
you asked like to fry a chicken what ll be better to use salt and spice or sugar

DP a general webmasters forum where you just announce that you want to sell your web if any of your fellow interested s/he ll bid/buy
flipa is place to sell websites they maintain listing categories etc
    your this thread is useless
DP is not a place for selling websites
DP and flipa are bests in there niches

Flippa I think that it is better organized also, much easier to navigate. You just have to be on the lookout for the scammers.

Perhaps I should of compared flippa with digitalpoints sites marketplace. However there is no reason why you can not comapre the two. They both are selling websites, whats not to compare?????

Anyway guys my experiment has come to an end. Flippa caught on to me and suspended the listing until I closed my DP listing.

So the results (a little early) are:

Flippa: 2 bids ($300 top bid)
DP: 2 bids ($150 top bid)

Personally I believe flippa is a better place to sell your site. There are more buyers with more money and its completely targetted towards selling sites. However there fee structure, general attitude and the ability to delete comments are some huge worries that should be addressed immediately.

I love DP find it easier, cheaper and a great place to be part of but in terms of sales you just dont get the same results. The biggest issue is your listing moving down 1-2 pages within a day where no-one will see it.

I think smaller priced sites would sell very quickly on DP and flippa is probably best for higher ticket sites..

Each one has their pro's and con's. Both are great places but I prefer flippa for selling high valued websites only and DP for low valued websites and domains.
