Hi, I just started to do affiliate marketing not long ago, and if someone would kindly give me some advise, I would be forever greatful. Im not sure if I have to have a website set up or a blog could bring me just as much traffic. So far I started my own blog which only gets about 10-30 impressions per day, written an article in Ezine, have been posting different products on free classifeds and just reading an overwheming amount of info online about being successful at it and I have not even made one sale or $1. I think my problem is in the nitch because I dont understand it much. I have been spending lots of time learning but I just dont think Im doing anything right and I deffinatly dont want to be the 95% that quit because I know that I can do this, I am determined. If this is not too personal to ask, can anyone give me an idea of how much they are making just to have an idea in my head if I can make enough money just doing this and nothing else. I just need to be pointed in the right direction as far as starting out from real people instead of a bunch or articles. Thank you.

First - learn sentence spacing. Posting a large paragraph block like that annoys people when they try to read it.

Second - getting 10-30 visits per day is actually a good start. That equates to 300-1000/month, not bad at all.

Third - keep adding fresh content, that's the key to successful websites.

Fourth - you won't get many honest answers on how much money people make. Some make a fortune, some make a few hundred $ per month, but 99% of the people here don't make anything at all because they try to promote ebooks or some other crap product.

Learn PPC and landing page optimization.

There is plenty of information about these two topics on Google, EzineArticles and YouTube.

Also, watch this webinar about landing page optimization and implement.

You can learn PPC from the Google AdWords tutorial; it's "the thing". :)

    Good luck.

I got the same question. Is it recommended that a newbie should start with free resources first? such as blog, article marketing to create traffic and then move on to websites?.

Website. Preferably a site that sells stuff from say amazon.com or ebay. Alot more potential revenue when compared to a blog. Its also easier to resell a website versus a blog.

Sine you have that traffic, the problem is that why people do not make a deal with you.I think you should pay more
attention to what your product or service is and whether they are required or valuable. As to the traffic, this will be
a tough and long course.Thereforem,be more patient and come on.

The answer is knowing who you are targeting and knowing what you are selling. It seems as though you have not covered either.

Don't sell crap, pump out content, get set up on PPC, etc... All of these are good ideas, but maybe you should look into Market Samurai to do some research within your niche. I have been using this software for months and it has paid for itself 10 times over at least.

I do a lot of affiliate marketing (both SEO and PPC) and I can tell you, if you do not understand the basics, you need to read up because you WILL FAIL.

I would start of by looking for something that actually interests me!

I mean, forget about all those top affilaite niche stories, and go for something that you have a pasion for. If your just in it for the money the chances that your in that 95% that quit is probably higher than if you actually have a pasion for the product, niche subject matter.

    my 2 cents worth.

no people earn that they are showing in threads but they are trying to get top positions so they are showing only.
your starting is good i think you should keep it up.

One article on EzineArticles is not enough.

Who is your market? How do you test the products you are selling?
