Hi I have a blog, It's a Film blog where basically on a weekly basis i review on average about 10 films, this content is unique and written by myself and each review consists of around 500 words, So basically roughly around 5,000 words / keywords of content is added each week to keep it fresh with the search engines etc. I also have an RSS feed on the site delivering Film News, in total there are now 50 reviews on the site, sound good and must be getting the visitors through you think? Well No... The site's getting around 20 - 30 unique a day, could anyone give tips or provide with me help which will get my film blog rolling and off the ground. Cheers
Promotion in forum is not a bad idea.So try to find more forums. What's more, you can exchange links with other webmaster to gain more traffic.
I few things you can do are ping your blogs rss feed, add your site to social bookmarking sites, add your blogs link in your signature on forums, build hubpages/lenses related to your blogs keywords for inbound links, and create pages on social networks.
Use social bookmarking sites like digg, delicious, spicypage, wikio, pf buzz and etc to promote your content in relevant categories. It will surely increase your traffic of blog.
You must use the correct promotion technique such as blog commenting at movie related niche blog. If you have budget, spent it on marketing such as adbrite.
I like the idea about getting into a movie enthusiast community online. You probably already do this, but start generating some back links. Develop some relationships with other movie bloggers, swap links with them.
- I would look at your competitor's websites that are Popular, and try and find out Why (What they are doing, and How they are doing it?)
blogs are easy to promote, connect with other bloggers in your niche by commenting on there blogs that should help a lot, good luck!
Yeah find blog comments and forums, but find them related to your niche and your traffic and seo should go up. Spam is bad though.
Make sure you website is optimized for search engine ranking! That is really key. Do you customize meta information for each post that you ad? Do you have a site map? Have you checked to see if you have w3c errors?
