Do comments generate traffic ?

I dont think comments helps directly getting traffic

 

Comment Posting is good for Search Engine Optimization!
I only post comments to involve in the discussion

 

do comment will be very useful in eyes of search engine so its index and approved asap and help in seo

 

Good comments posted by smart webmasters can bring a hell of traffic. However, it only applies if you have automated blog comments posting software, otherwise it takes too much time...

 

yes good comments bring traffic, but most of the comments either manual or automatic are spam

 

But who could prevent you from writing good comments?

 

I believe it depends upon your comment. if you comment on blogs with crap words with the intention to generate traffic then you're not going to get any benefit from it, if you comment on blogs with genuine arguments & helpful statements then people might visit you after being convinced with your statement. this is good to develop long term & loyal visitors to your site.

 

You should comment on high pagerank blogs to generate more traffic.And another thing for building links you should comment on only do-follow blog so that only you can get the backlink.

 

It depends on what blog post you're commenting if the post is interesting then some people may want to read they will click on your link.

 

Commenting is mainly for the SEO part.
However, I've made like 250 comments and I get like 25 uniques from that per day. So 10%.

You can get a few tricles of traffic, however if you use a dofollow blog search engine you'll not only expose your site to traffic, but you'll get a wee link too! cheeky!

 

The quality of the blog that you are posting to has an important part to play if you looking for hits to your site. If the blog is on-topic and you post informative information then you stand a better chance of having your post approved.

Furthermore if the blog is in your niche you can offer to provide a guest blog and get hits to your site via that method.

 

Well although Comment do not generate traffic for your website, but ya if your comment is very good, with a proper link, then might be it can give you Traffic.
But i am very sure that they will definitely help you in building good backlinks for your website.

The time that it takes to post comments and return on that time is not worth it in my experience. I use commenting for backlink building

You should comment interesting. Atleast you will get visits from the publisher of article.
