EzineArticles - Direct Linking

Discussion in 'General Marketing' started by ddzc, Oct 13, 2009.

    Hi everyone,

I noticed a few articles from Ezine had direct linking to a homepage in the body of the article. I just wrote an article and I noticed that i'm unable to link in the body...only in the signature and I can't name the link whatever I want.

Anyone else experience this? Do you get more privleges after you write a certain amount of articles?

    Thanks

As an internet marketer, it's very important for you to secure better page ranking. As you know, if you make it on top 10 search page results, you are assured of enormous traffic. Aside from using on-page optimization techniques, you can also make your website look very valuable to the eyes of search engines by building numerous inbound links. You can do this by writing and distributing several keyword-rich articles to different article directories.

Here's how you can earn unlimited inbound links through article writing:

    1. If you want to use your articles on your website (aside from distributing them to directories), you may put links on your article body. Just make sure that you do not overdo it. Your links may point your visitors to other pages of your website or to your blog. You see, internal links are as important as external links as they are also being considered by the search engines when ranking your website.

    2. Resource box. This is the only place where you can put your anchor texts and absolute URLs when submitting articles to directories. To get a better chance of pleasing the search engines, I recommend that you use the keywords that you are targeting when creating anchor texts. This will help the search spiders in easily analyzing and indexing your articles.

    3. Write more articles. Obviously, more articles will mean more inbound links for you. There are so many ways on how you can multiply the number of your articles but the most effective are extending your writing hours and planning your content before you even start tapping on your keyboard.

Do you want to learn more about how I do it? I have just completed my brand new guide to article writing success, "Your Article Writing and Promotion Guide." Download it free here: Article Writing.

I assume that by ezine you don't mean ezine but the website ezinearticles.com

If an article complies with their Editorial Guidelines, then it can have 2 links in the body and 2 links in the resource box.

What do you mean that you're not able to link in the body? Please explain ... Maybe you don't know how to do it ...

I tried the available tags to link but I had no luck. I noticed it doesn't accept html. It's possible that i'm doing it wrong...how do you guys link and specify the link name instead?

    Thanks

I have not seen an article that has direct linking, however I would assume that if an article has direct linking, it may be from an older article that predates the "no direct linking" policy.

each article directory has different guidelines. If you are talking about ezinearticles.com, then you were able to add links to the body in the past, but with the new guidelines, you may not. You need to use the resource box.

ddzc - I write a lot of articles for ezinearticles and I have never even tried to link in the body of the article. I try to make the reader get inquisitive and then I make the resource box look like it is a part of the article.

I think that by putting the link in the article you are trying to close the deal too soon.

Very true, you guys make good points. In the resource box, how do I specify the actual link name? I can create a link but the link name is the link URL...how can I change that?

    Thanks

I have been posting quite a handful of websites to Ezinearticles over the past 2-3 days, and 3 of my articles with my website link inside the main article have been approved. (You want proof, ask! ;) )

This is the rule from EZA - You cannot link to your own website more than twice in the entire article including resource article. Also, the first three paragraphs of your article cannot have any links.

So, I always link to my own website from the fourth paragraph of the article and the link is such that it is something very relevant to what is being discussed. For example, "According to a study by Nielsen, this was the result: ", here I can link to my article about the Nielsen study..hope I was clear.

A second link is from the resource box.

    Hey guys,

Another question...do you usually sign up with ezinearticles with an email under a different domain than the one you will be promoting in the articles? I'm assuming they would see this a bit suspicious and possibly even deny your articles if they see you constantly promoting the same domain which you have registered under ezine.

They don't care that you are promoting the same domain or other domains. I promote several domains and I use an email address from a domain I don't promote so no problems there for you.

Click "edit" on the article that is in draft, make sure it complies with the TOS and then submit it.
