I know it's been a while since Google Base was released, but what do you guys think it's good for?

From what I see, they let you upload website pages and such, but has anyone recieved any traffic from it?

I have seen some things coming through for real estate searches.

Google just recently released a refinement for real estate searchers. These results seem to be pulling from google base SOOO if you upload listings or services you could possibly come up. Since the refinement is right before the first listing a lot more traffic is being diverted to that refinement. That is what I have noticed.

If you are into black hating you could probably spam the heck out of it to get tons of traffic but that is just a hypo thetical ;)

I could probably use phpMyAdmin to call up all the games and videos I have and then rename the tables and upload it to Google Base to see what happens :D

If it works I'll let you guys know (it has 4,000 listings)

Actually, I think the majority of my Google traffic comes from Base, since Froogle uses the Base feeds for it's data.

I can't complain, since my SERP's suck in Google. I'm getting about twice as many visits from Froogle than from Yahoo & MSN (which I do pretty well in the searches).

Its all about exposure. Another good site to upload to would be craigslist. I put 4 listings on craigslist and I am getting instant traffic right away.

I have seen traffic come in for real estate but I gues its up to each of use to use our own methods and thats what helps us define how WE as individuals will tackle our seo needs.

I say google base is worth it but I dont like to spend to much time writing these ads so I have a program that allows me to write my ads and bulk upload them. after the ads expire I just reupload. Save time and effort.
