Forum Signature Links in Google's Eye

My opinion is the carry some value, not a lot but some...They certainly aren't going to hurt you and may even help you a little bit...I see them as part of a diverse backlink profile...Don't spend your lives going to forums and building signature backlinks but if you are genuinely interested in participating in the forums then you might as well include your signature link...think of them as like 1% of your backlink profile...
