How to estimate website traffic ?

    Do you know a method to estimate as precisely as possible the visitors to a competitor site ?

    except alexa and trafficestimator

    compete.com generally gives some good estimates.

    I have yet to find an accurate measurement of potential traffic other than dabbling in a PPC campaign for the keywords you are contemplating an optimization campaign for.

    i estimate the website traffic through using of statcounter and google analytics. but the two has different results

    Well ,

    Alexa is really the best one and Compete.com , Quantcast.com are very good as well

    With Quantcast you can always check for daily , weekly, monthly visitors / people
    And many other options to verify
    http://www.quantcast.com/docs/display/info/How+to+Read+Our+Reports

    Compete.com tells you also the traffic count and specifies US traffic as well

    You can make use of statcounter or alexa. Both are providing nice service.
