That is good to have tools for the monitoring. That is not good idea to have the tools for the SEO itself. That is better have manual SEO

SEO software is a great way to automatize your routine SEO job. But you must understand SEO principles. No software will magically make yuo number one.

I use Web CEO and it helps me greatly in creating reports and providing my clients with them.

Oh, don't go there again. I bet you use tools for SEO all the time. Do you use browser, excell spreadsheet, search engines, google toolbar, calculator? If you use them for SEO - these are your SEO tools. There's SEO software that combines the functionality of these and makes it easier for you to get the data. It lets you do the analysis and decision making (what I suppose you call manual SEO) but saves you time gathering the data.

There's no purely manual SEO, I tell you! We all use tools, some pick better tools, others prefer to stick with the old-school spreadsheet way and spend more time.

Sure there's a lot of crappy software out there that promisses to get you top rankings overnight without you stirring a finger, but let's not mix up worthy products with that.

I don't think softwares will give us long term profits and will give strong SERP in google rather than manual way. Isn't it?

I plan on doing my SEO manually. I was just going to use this software to help with research. I'm new at the whole SEO thing but I know that you can't get a number 1 spot by using such software unless you're some kind of SEO genius. Is there any good software out there that can help make my research easier. Thanks for all the replies.

I try to use this software and I think it's ok. But for me I rather check the site manually than using software to check my site if it's SE friendly.

The only thing I use it for is to do my ranking reports. I know some folks say they want to do it manually. We have over 400 clients, so doing it manually will be pretty hard to do.
