Howdy folks. I'm looking for a decent Wordpress plugin that allows me to place Adsense code within posts, and experiment with different positions within the post (for example, top left of post, or top right, or middle of post etc). I also would like a plugin that does not include any links back to the author within the plugin itself, as this seems to distract visitors from clicking on the Adsense code. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Go through this link - acmetech,com/blog/2005/07/26/adsense-deluxe-wordpress-plugin/ and PM me if you succeed with this, BOL.
adsense and ypn all in one is good. it will allow you to choose top left, top right, or whatever and even has a "random" option to where it posts random positions. Pretty easy to use and setup.
Yes, personally I think it makes it a lot easier to play around with Ad placement. I've downloaded a few different options, I'll test them out and let you know which one is the most flexible with the least hassles. Wish me luck!
Ok, I've started testing a few Adsense plugins that allow flexible placement of Adsense code. First off the rank, Adsense Injection....I can't say I'm too impressed at the moment, it's leaving big gaping white holes on my home page. Any have any ideas why this may be occurring...and if any other plugins are smart enough to avoid these white holes?
I've just switched over to a plugin called Whydowork Adsense. It's a really cool plugin actually, it can automatically display different advertisements for posts over x days old, and it also allows you to allocate specific positions for your advertisements on single post pages, multi-post pages, and standard pages. I think this one is going to get my thumbs up. The only thing I'm still not 100% happy with, is what is displayed when Google can't find an ad to display.....it just leaves an ugly big blank space (at least for this plugin the blank space is transparent....for the last plugin I used, Adsense Injection, the blank space was a big block of white, which clashed terribly with my site's background colour. Perhaps I'm missing something wrong when I set up the actual Adsense code, but is there an efficient way to overcome this problem, so that when Google can't find an ad to display, that the allocated space for the Google Adsense advert is still filled with an alternative contextual hyperlink, or even alternatively, that the allocated 'space' simply disappears?
Isn't there an option in Adsense itself to display something alternatively if no ads are available? Anyway, thanks for reporting, I am following your research...
@JakeThePeg is adsense injection available for free? btw what is the white blank spot on your site? is it normal? or you make it look like that on purpose?
popular adsense plugins are: adsense manager, adsense injection, adsense deluxe and all in one adsense and yahoo. but i always prefer manual adding of code which gives me more control over ad placement.
