if I do it thru paypal will paypal restrict my account? Because paypal doesn't cover intangible items (like text link purchases)

Do realize though that the other party can leave you a negative itrader as well in retaliation. Have to admit that's why I haven't left ones for the two folks who screwed me over on their VPS'es.

You should definitely put a negative itrader, if all means to contact dont work. You should also mention clearly that if he sends you a negative itrader, youll spoil his sale threads by exposing his scam again and again.
If you file a dispute, paypal wont restrict your account. At worse, youll loose the dispute.

I've done it before & Paypal refunded my money (& my account didn't get restricted).

I guess open a dispute, that will surely get his attention. Either he's gonna put your links back up, or go further with the dispute (which in this case you can escalate the claim).
It will take probably 1-2 weeks for Paypal to investigate, enough time for him to panic (if he wants to keep his Paypal account clean) & do something about it. :)

Thats the best solution I would recommend.. also keep following up with paypal.. If it comes true after verification his paypal account would be affected or banned..

you can leave one comment in a thread in regards to a bad deal. following someone around and posting negative comments in all their threads will only get you an infraction for attacking and harassing a member.

due diligence people, its not difficult.
