I Pay to have my ads placed in the right places with the hope the price I pay for the click will result in a return visit or at least a user sign up. So When your friends are clicking my ads your stealing from me. You are essentially playing against my hard efforts for your own personal gain.

I say get his friend to click it. Can I see your site. Post your URL :)

at least if he keeps publicly declaring it we might get him off the adsense network and our advertising costs might decrease and our revenue's decrease.

He is likely going to get smart priced anyways

    *rolleyes*

    Don't influence people in to clicking your ads. Don't click your own ads. And to help with your future questions: Don't have more than three ad units and one link unit per page. Don't put images next to your ads, unless they have a border. No, we can't help you get un-smart priced. ^^;;

it doesnt ruin it for everyone..

advertisers pay for clicks.. and clicks is what they are getting. There is no way anyone can promise the motivation behind the clicks.

The advertisers are getting what they want.. google is getting what they want.. and im getting what i want.

my friends might by there stuff..they might not they are no different to anyone else.

btw - i just clicked all the adverts on this page for no particlar reason.. is that against TOS as well?

Sorry to say this, but you are a dumbass. Have you read anything of owhat people wrote above ?

Yes it's against the TOS and it's immoral and you're spending advertiser's money in vain.

    ugh!

Advertisers pay for valid page veiws and traffic that people are interested in, if they just wanted page views they'd join surfjunky.

It's not against the TOS for you to click the ads. But what's the point?

the point is.. no one can ever say only people who are interested in an advert will click it.

they can only say someone did click it.. but never why.

READ the Terms of Service you agreed to when signing up for the Adsense program.
Then take a breath and decide if you have one ounce of integrity before spouting off about what YOU think is ethical or "right".
Trust the people telling you that you're on your way to getting banned forever from the program.
Read it, and get back to us, deal?

The point you are making is understood, it is however not the point or the cusp of what you are really brushing on.

The idea of Contextual adverts, is that they are relevant to the content of the site/page they are displayed on. As such the people who click on them more often than not are interested in the advertised materials.
The hope is that as such, these users will be converted, either to come back to the site, possibly click on further adverts or purchase a product.

Just telling someone to click on the advertisements blindly without interest means that the user has gone against the intention of the advertising.

    What is the result?

Well you will have low converting users, and google will therefore punish you by smart pricing your site. Meaning instead of getting the maximum click value for genuine clicks, all clicks will get the minimum price.

So the overall effect is that you will earn less money in the long run, if you are not banned.

Because you are not interested in the advert and you are encouraging people to click the ads you are breaching the TOS as well
