Just uploaded a sitemap with 2900 URLS's and I wondered if having more pages equals more visitors.. would be logical if it would right? Cheers Kevin
Nope - BETTER pages equals more visitors. Anybody can create a million pages of crap auto generated pages but that will only get you banned from google which equals NO visitors.
its about "Quality not the quantity" On the other side, yes if you do have good original content and loads of pages indexed its always good for site weight, and is good for long run SEO benefits.
All things being equal YES more pages equals more traffic. But if you have 1 page of crap content or 1million traffic doesn't matter ecause you won't get any. If you have 1 page of quality content or 3000 pages of quality content than 3000 pages will get more traffic.
Since every page on your site SHOULD be targeting a single keyword phrase (perhaps 2-3 phrases if they are VERY related and almost identical) then of course... the more pages you have, the more keyword phrases you can target. With each new page you get a brand new set of on-page elements (<title>, <h1>, <h2>, content, etc.) that you can focus on yet another keyword phrase. So yes, assuming that you maintain the quality of your content, adding new pages does generally increase your chances of getting more traffic.
Hello Quality Content In your Page = more Visitor. also update your Content Is also help u to increase Visitor.
i would not say more pages - but pages with keyword phrase targeted content. Now that would mean more visitors for sure. And if your domain is not having too many good inbound links then you better go for long tails.Spend large amount of time in finding the keywords and then write good posts.
I dont think so and only the quality and good content of the pages will bring more visitor to the site.
