backlink building? a small query.

i have recently started a website (i am a newb), also i am not very much aware of search engine optimization (especially google), but still working it up as much as i can,

i recently researched on some other sites of the same type as i have made, and found out that they have linke 70000+ backlinks on different website (50 ~ 700) backlinks on a website)

now what i want to know is, does linkbuilding alone is worth thatmuch?

can any one please suggest a proper method of linkbuilding?
i mean to ask what sites i muct put links on and what not and etc.... etc....

Backlinks is the most important sector in SEO.

Getting a backlink from related contents, nice anchored keyword, dofollow, and low total outbound links will definitely help your site increase in SERP ranking.

If you want to start your link building campaign, I suggest don't depend on one method.

Try, social bookmark, article submission, forum posting, blog comments, moderate link exchanges, etc.

Also, try not to get your backlinks from pages that have more than 100 outbound links, it is truly a poor quality backlink.

I have no experience of the people on this thread (who do sound legitimate) but I would be really careful about paying people to do this. Some other people will post them anywhere they are allowed to, even if they are completely irrelevant to your site.

 

Well you need links..lots of links. And yes you need to follow the steps that has been mentioned by all the marketers above - forums, articles, blogs, social bookmarking. Build links whenever and wherever possible! This does not mean you go on putting links on every site blindly and unethically. You have to look for related content and also links that are worth (eg: go for only do-follow links ). A good way is to run a backlink analysis of competitors and find out the links that they are having. Don't go overboard and start making a lot of paid links. This may cause a damage to your SERP
