I joined Facebook awhile back, was totally disappointed. The original concept of Facebook was an excellent idea, to be able to stay in contact with your college friends. For now???? :D :D

I don't think it is boring. It all depends on how and why you use it.

Facebook is only boring when most of your friends are lazy viewers and don't update their things. I have a lot of friends and most of the time I spend hours enjoying the great videos and more tey post.
Plus don't forget that a lot of people became rich thanks to facebook, if you know how to use it it may work to your advantage.
    Good luck

Everything requires an application to use, and there is even a chat limit there. I also think that alot of people find it boring, simply because they are used to it, and there is nothing else surprising. Also, as I have noticed, alot of people only want to add me, just to see my pics- nothing else. So why add me then?

I've been reunited with all kinds of friends - elementary school, jr. high, high school, college, church, neighborhood friends, soccer friends, etc. : )

FB could let you put some coding on hour page and mod it a bit....maybe one day.

Totally agree, fB has lost its touch.

A year or two and the hype will be over - guaranteed!

Just wondering for those of you who are saying that FB has become boring, are you now more engaged with twitter? If not, what communication/social networking methods are you now turning to?

I just joined it... it's ok from my point of view.
At a first sight it seems a dating site, so how can you use it for your own marketing purposes?

I think Facebook is probably the best social networking site out. take a look at its competitors: MySpace, Orkut, Twitter (I guess with the status updated and stuff).

I think this is one of the first posts in this thread that actually has meaning. I was getting sick and tired of hearing " fb is boring". It's getting ridiculous on these forums nowadays.

Facebook is fine for me. I setup my blog RSS feeds and my youtbe feed to post on my wall. So everything is automatic.

I go back every few weeks to make sure everything is still updating and accept friends request.

I actually think that Facebook does what it's supposed to do... whether or not you find it boring depends on why you are there and what you are doing there...

For connections, groups and networking I find it to be an excellent tool both personally and professionally.

My only issue is trying to maintain the balance between personal and professional in my account... lol
