My site traffic is going down due to a top website

I have a gaming forum with around 7,000 members and there a site with 60,000 members that it just getting almost all the traffic. he has no page rank i have a page rank of 2 and he get the most traffic duo to a certain keyword and my site got 4 more index page when you put. (google) site:site.com keyword my site has the same so how is he getting 9 times more hits. How can i improve my site, i already install phpbb-seo and he has vb seo

 

The SERP is direct factor that affect the traffic. Although both of your PR and number of index page are better than your competitor but your SERP on certain popular keyword are lower. Then, definately you will found that your traffic is lesser.

What you need to do is improve your SERP to get more traffic

 

Any tips so i can improve it. my site just started from 0 20 days ago. it was shutdown and then every thing got deindex now google is indexing 1 more time. Also my crawl rate is going down.

 

Try to learn what makes your competitor being preferred by everyone. It's not necessary SEOwise.

Were can i check whats driving traffic to my competive. also my seo mod pick the keywords by it self.

 

Obviously the big difference here is the amount of content. He got so many pages and thus would get lot of traffic from long tail keywords alone.

This is something you have to work harder to catch up with that site. I dont thing there is any quick solution for this; unless you can spend tons of money on marketing.

 

Perhaps your competitor is adding new content daily , are you also doing this ? This is key to being indexed more by google.

 

His users are promoting his content more than your users are promoting yours. I have the same problem with my oldest site and some scumbag who ripped my site off and gets 5x as many hits as I do.

Yes my users are also promoting my site but he pay his usres to advertise. he get ton of money i get like 1 dollar per day/

He's having 60,000 members just consider if half of them visit site everyday i think he have more and loyal members.

 

Don't let your site get shut down for long enough for it to be deindexed - that will crush any site.

I'd bet that's your real problem. If you've only been online for 20 days, but have already had that long of an outage, I'd look into a new webhost.

 

I change my webhosting am know on offshore webhosting since i had a problems with nexon corp

 

My site was created 9 months ago but it was shutdown for 2 months then it got deindex now is like starting from zero

 

That's not about SEO what happened today, some my websites have down and dropped too. what's going on with google right now?
