You can stay in touch with your friends, used for marketing the site, visitors can subscribe your feeds. If done properly then you can expect the unexpected traffic from it.

 

Social bookmarking is useful gaining backlinks & increasing popularity of website. mainly it is useful for increasing popularity of your blog if it has high quality content.

 

You can get traffic and keyword ranking from social bookmarking. If they are do follow.

 

I am using bookmarks for fast google indexing & to get more backlinks.

 

There are many benefits of social bookmarking as quickly get indexed by search engines, but the point is that you should know the proper way of social bookmarking in order to achieve the goals I wanted, is like building a good reputation and make friends with the same interest as yours, is the desire to increase traffic to their websites and keep them updated and help improve people's life will give to others like it is referring to people who know .. that is how I use social bookmarking websites.

agree with kathy. i use social bookmarking for getting pages indexed, or links to my sites crawled faster. as far as monetization goes, social bookmarking does almost nothing unless you earn on a CPM basis.
