Does DP Forum signature helps in link building?

My blog is not related to DP forum. It is related to some health product. So If I create the signature in DP pointing to my health product blog site, it wont be a relevant backlink as DP forum is a Internet Marketing forum and my site is related to health product.
So my question is, still this backlink will be helpful to my blog's up ranking in google?

And if DP forum wont help me in link building, which forum will help me?

 

Pick forums closely related to your industry. Find places where people discuss your niche.

Secondly, look for old, big forums with dofollow links and many users. DP will help you, but only as well as any other forum

Links from DP for non related websites (like finance) are useless and not even indexed...
But if you get a very relevant forum and post your links there you'll get a link and traffic.

In my experience, a link is a link. When I'm building links I don't always go for links in my niche. This doesn't make sense to me. A link from something outside of the search results for your term or any term very very close to it seems to carry equal weight if you ask me. If you are on a forum with a dofollow link, it's not going to hurt you to put it in your sig.

 

I have found the sig in DP very helpful when trying to increase links. My presences range from business to marketing so they may be a bit more relevant, but you should still see and increase in the serps for your selected term.

 

forums link have many thing, like Is the do follow and how much your forum trust able and old ! If every condition positive , really signature link helps you !

 

Definitely it helps. Before this I was not indexed or getting PR for my blog but after I linked to it in my sig, it was indexed and it got PR now

 

DP alone doesnt help your rankings, it might get 1 or 2 of your website's indexed quickly but will not rank you high. Also it doesnt matter if the link isnt relevent, a link is a link. The only advantage of relevent link's is you might get some traffic from the actual website it self for a bit.

Having your signature link increases your link popularity, won't affect rankings though - only if your blog is not related to DP forum

There was one experimentation done. This was read on a website (Sorry I forgot the url).

Here a guy took one of his web page that was ranking in 11 th page for a keyword in Google. He changed his signature in DP where he had 3K posts.

Soon after 2 weeks he was in page 1 in position 7. And in 3 weeks he was in #3.

Yes ofcourse your signature links count as they are dofollow. For some site even we have backlinks listed in Google.
