I am a relative newbie when it comes to SEO, so for the benefit of myself and newbies to follow me, what should we predominantly focus on when we are planning our websites SEO??? Keywords META and Onpage META Tags Domain Name.... There are JUST so many things Link Campaigns, Video Campaigns...the list goes on Where is it do you think that newbies should focus before we explore other avenues of SEO?? Regards Joshua
Do those "campaigns" as you cal them.. They aim to increase your site traffic, IMO that´s what you´re firing for. Use your brain. I don´t know what your topic is - maybe youtube is more successful than an amazon shop, who knows... just do your homework consistently...
your first campaign should be : building a nice website with very compelling and useful content, make sure that your visitors will like your website before you start building the links.
On Page Elements refer to the html tags within the page. They include Heading Tags (<H1>), Title Tags, Bold Tags, Italic tags on your web page. Below is an example of phrase "SEO Company" used in a Heading (<h1>) and Bold (<b>) Example: SEO Company SEO Company SEO Company Notice the difference? In the HTML Source, The search phrase "SEO Company" Was placed between <h1> tags. <H1>SEO Company</H1> HTML Tags In the second version, It was placed between bold tags. <b>SEO Company</b> HTML tags. In the third version, it was placed between emphasize tags. <em>SEO Company</em> HTML tags.
When you come up with a site idea, make a list of terms people would use to find your site known as keywords. When you write your content, try and include these keywords as many times as possible without it sounding awkward. For my sites, I usually try and go with around 2% keyword density for my main keyword I am targeting, but some people do more. Also realize that as keenstyle said, the vast majority of SEO is how many people link to your site, so optimizing your website excessively will not help you much, but spending time building all kinds of links is a great help to your PR and popularity. good luck!
