Google traffic dissapeared on 6 year old site 2 hours ago

Huge drop all of a sudden. Serps are fluxing again. Anyone else noticing anything like this. traffic is down to practically nothing.

 

Oh, sorry to hear that if you checked your SERPs. If not, one only thing, do you use statcounter? If so, they are currently having problems!

 

Ni But I wish it was that simple. I am actually watching alot of bouncing around in the serps. I have checked some keywords and the serps have definately changed.. I guess we will see what happens. This happened about 3 weeks ago as well then we cam back stronger so hopefully the same will happen.

 

A 6 year old site going stronger for a brief time means that you are doing SEO, just try not to push hard on that, i've been slapped multiple times. I take it easy for the past year, better say, letting it go the "natural way" building interesting content and improving the sites, everything looks stable...

 

Today, ranking for my sites dropped again Traffic is decreased about 25%.

Normally, drop in SERPs is small, but this drop was a big one for my sites.

 

Glad to know I am not alone angilina. I saw an interesting post on twitter that said that google itself was coming up in the serps for some keywords. This person also said this was a sure sign that an update is ready to happen. If I can find it I will post.

Same happened to one of my site. My site homepage disappeared from all keywords. Earlier it was ranking on first page for all keywords. The site is more than one year old and was ranking on top for 5 months. but it is still ranking on Google Caffeine.

 

its might be due to latest google caffin update

 

Similar here, rankings are fluctuating greatly and I am nowhere for some of my main keywords...for particular one - from positions 2-3 on 1st page, currently 2nd on page 9 lol.
Strange but traffic is the same despite that. The site is 3+ years old.

Did you get sandboxed? Google your site with the www.yoursite.com. If you only get sites that link to yours you may have been. If your PR bar is grayed out when you go to your site, well that's a ban....

 

I have similar problems about 4-5 days. My website fall in SERPs for multiple keywords. I read another place that is another change in Google algorithm. The PR is the same, all pages are indexed but the results are ...

 

Recently I have observed that if you do lot of backlinking in a short span of time, there are temporary drops in the ranking of the site. But the rankings are recovered after a week or so.

 

Yes I can report I'm seeing fluctuations of the serps for my keywords right across the board. Traffic is still steady though but google seems to be sorting out a lot of stuff. Hope it Irons out soon and we can figure out how caffine works.
