http://www.backlinkwatch.com/index.php is good - I think it uses the Yahoo results but then determines anchor text etc.
yahoo site explorer and http://www.linkdiagnosis.com seem to be the best.... If you have a SEOMoz Pro membershit Linkscape is also nice
Once you get the results, you can choose options from the dropdown to show results "except from this domain". That will eliminate all backlinks from other pages on your own site.
type in "link:http://www.yourdomain.com" into Google and google will show you SOME of your backlinks. I have found that Alta Vista will show you a more realistic number of your backlinks.
I don't care much about yahoo, but it would be good to know if there is any tool or site to check backlinks in google.
webmaster tools will show you some backlinks Google has always kept it pretty secret as to how many you actually have
yes seomoz is very good but firefox has a nice plug in tool called qurik search status... you can download it free here: http://www.quirk.biz/searchstatus/
Try this one. Different layout for your links but it is nice: http://www.online-utility.org/webmaster/backlink_domain_analyzer.jsp
Checking your backlinks MANUALLY in Google is the most accurate method to check real-time links. I don't opt for any tools for the results are often different from what I see in manual checking.
I have been using this backlink checker to check the backlinks for my sites. Gives me pretty accurate results. See if this works for you.
