Somebody is scraping my site

They must be doing it thru an RSS scraper or something because as soon as I post, I can go immediately to their site and find my post on their site.

I have filed a DMCA order with their webhost (who happens to be MY webhost, too!). But that's going to take awhile. The thing is, my posts drop off of his site after a day or two... what's up with that?

Is there some way to stop this altoghether? I'm about to go postal. I've already made a post about copyright infringement on my blog (which showed up immediately on his), and said something nasty in the middle of it, which he probably won't read...

The site is vipinverma.com and it's ripping off my posts from articlewritingnews.com

I've started writing nasty posts just so they'll show up on his site...

Here's one of the pics I created that is on his site now:

Any suggestions on what else I can do to make him stop?

I was just going to suggest the same thing but you were a bit more civil about it lol... You can make a post about it as well so he aggregates that onto his site. Chances are he is not doing much traffic but that is not really the point eh?

You can always fire off a note to his host as well.

    nicely played!

    Thanks, Nigel!

Well, I got a phone call from his (our) webhost earlier this evening. All the posts are gone, so they can't do anything about it. If I had only waited for a couple of hours before making that post... ah well.

If he continues to scrape my content, tho, I'll have him by the short ones.

It just baffles me, tho. I've looked at his site... it has nothing to do with what I write. Why on earth did he want my stuff??? Weird!

An autoblog? Hmm, something to look into. Thanks!
Is there any way to circumvent an autoblog?

You know, if the guy had placed any kind of contact links on his site, I would have contacted him directly and asked politely that he stop scraping my site. But NO... he had to be a... pig's butt (that's the most polite thing I can say about this kind of blogger). This kind of blogger gives us all a bad name.

You want to consider blocking his IP/domain, although I doubt this is gonna help much?

As a matter of fact, DutchMan, in doing research in this issue I found feed footer and tried it out. When that last post showed up on his site, sure enough there was my new footer, telling everyone where the post came from. It is a pretty slick work-around.

Thanks for mentioning it! I think it's a great idea, too!

Will banning thru the use of .htaccess prevent scraping if it is being done thru the RSS feed?

ban his ip,etc through cPanel, use config your Image Manager in cPanel

    complain in google, his host.

if his host not remove then send this message "because of you're not remove my copyright content from your client site, so now i am planning to complain in ICANN and DMCA and they will take down your site"

    sorry for my bad english

No worries on the English. I understand.

I filed a DMCA, but he had taken down everything he had stolen, so the DMCA became ineffectual--useless.

The whole point may be moot now, as I posted something this morning and it has not shown up on his site. So, perhaps he has disabled the bot, at least from stealing MY content.

What I really appreciate is everyone's input. I knew about filing the DMCA, but not about the feed footer plugins. So, I want to thank everyone for all your advice!

Autoblogs can work in many ways. In most of the cases, they get your content through your RSS feed. If you are using feedburner, then change the option to just show post excerpts and not the entire post. Now if he tries to get your content through RSS feed, he ll just get 2 -3 lines of your post and [...] . He'll pretty much be aware that you changed the settings and he'll eventually stop using your RSS.

EDIT: There you go - see his tools - hxxp://www.vipinverma.com/wp-content/plugins/

    I hope it helps.
