    Sleeping pills may cause long term adverse effect. I have spent few restless nights without sleeping a wink, but I never took any sleeping pill. Shower before hitting the sack is considered as the best somniferous.

    With Tylenol PMs I also sometimes take antihistimines to further knock me out at night.

    It is reported that a special kind of bed which is expected to help people get asleep quickly is dangerous for people, for it would reduce the quantity of the leukocyte in the blood.
    While taking pills is likely to get people addicted and much more difficult to get asleep without sleeping pills.
    Therefore, the best way to assist sleep quickly at night should be having some kind of proper sports, such as jogging, and have regulary diet habit.

    You will rely on the medicine. You can take more exercise to get rid of tension and be healthy.

    When it comes to sleep or tension I would try to avoid any use of medication. You should try other alternatives before resorting to pills, stuff like exercise, or meditating, anything that will ease the stress. However it's not bad to take medication if you absolutely need to. As long as you take the right dosage, and do what the doctor says you should be okay.

    Try exercising during your day, don't cope with work 24/7...healthy body, healthy mind.

    As aforementioned, honey is one of the natural remedies known for sleep disorders, have it it tea and cookies hours before you head to bed.

    Personally, milk is my sleep igniter + a few cookies for sweet dreams :p
    But honestly, WARM-Hot-ish milk before bed will help ya, try it. And a shot of whiskey never hurt anybody :D

    And don't forget to exercise, even if it tales as little as a long walk in the park, it's something.

    Re: Stress; different folks different methods; I keep in shape to keep the stress away, I also like to create my little quiet world so I can see where I'm going better and relieve my head from the pressure with dealing everyday stuff. Other than that, there's sexy time and a little relaxation method of my own composed of a sound proofed room with 5000w of speakers pointed to the center of the room, where I'd stand.

    Don't ever use Ambien for Sleep. I was having some issues back in April and got some from my sister. They are extremely addictive (no matter how much you hear about them) I started taking them back in April and just now coming off of them. Than when you try to come off of them, it is worse. Your sleep is horrible for like a week and when you do finally fall asleep, you have the weirdest dreams
    I am just hoping I can start feeling normal again. :(

    Peoples have already tension.. Thats why people use medicine to overcome the tension...

    Tension and no physical exercise is main reason for not have sleep

    But i suggest people to have hard physical exercise to have sleep specially for those who is having this problem.

    Outdoor games are the best options for this specially for people like us who spent most of time on computer

    hey if want good sleep every day : 1. dont take tension for any thing 2. dont hear the crime news 3Work more as much u possible 4.have food nicely in time 5.before sleeping take deep breath 6 than aramse u can sleep.......

    It will be do some harm in the long run if you take medicines for sleep. Instead try to take warm milk and have a nice walk in the pleasant wind in your lawn for about 10-15 minutes before you go to sleep.

    If one is mentally healthy, one should not take medicine for sleep but if there is a disorder, one should go to a psychiatrist and take medicine according to the doctor.
