At the moment I just have 1 website profile set up for each site I manage. Yesterday I suddenly thought maybe we could set up a new website profile but just for PPC ads. When a user arrives from a PPC ad I can set a cookie which alters all the links to have a different PID so I can track all sales from PPC ads. Maybe everybody else already does this?
Yes I have done it and it worked, But after some time I deleted one of the PID and today I prefer to track all my sales from PPC and from my websites on just one PID. I didnt like the reports generated for 2 different PIDs they are to many separated in same cases. So today prefer to track sales from PPC and from non-PPC using the SID tag. Maybe this is a personal decision, I would not tell you that have just one PID choice for both is he best choice as I *think* the official way to deal with it is to have 2 different PIDs (not sure about it) But I think having 2 Different PIDs is not good when you decide to run reports integrating a same advertise in 2 different PIDs
I don't know if you know this, but it is a useful information and may help someone here: in CJ + AdWords you can just implement in your ads destination urls like: http://www.jdoqocy.com/click-[PID]-[AID]?SID={keyword} for example lets say your PID=12345678 and AID=98765432, your destination url may be: http://www.jdoqocy.com/click-12345678-98765432?SID={keyword} if someone click on your ad triggered by the keywords "buy a car" and make a sale in your advertiser, the SID for this commission will be tracked as buy+a+car
