    What's a standard rate?

There is no standard rate. I charge $60 an hour. ($AUD)

I used to charge in half hour increments, but lately if it's a 10 minute job, I'll charge for the entire hour.

Somehow my plumber still makes more by digging holes, eating pies, and connecting a few pipes
If only I could charge a "call out" fee...

What kind of work could be for half an hour? If you dont mind me to ask :)

Also i think sometimes could be hard work sometimes not, but you will get the same money as i understand, lets say for 1 hour.

I usually got monthly payment or for the web-design for websites. Will be nice to know how other people makes money. But i think is a good idea to charge per hour.

Lots of things. Mainly website updates and minor additions.

Charging "per hour or part thereof" also means that clients are encouraged to hold their requests until they have a few things that need doing, instead of asking for fiddly little things here and there. Which ultimately means less stuffing around for me, and better value for them.

@ Veronica2009 - you should use the EDIT button instead of double posting :)
