Just go to Webmaster Tools / Diagnostics / Crawl errors.
If you have AdSense, look at Site Diagnostics / Blocked URLs.

It's good idea to have all pages in a sitemap, and indexing can take time.

I am not exactly sure what you are saying. If you mean 9 of 11 links, like your sitemap in google webmaster tools says 11 submitted and 9 indexed maybe.

There is no guarantee any of them will be indexed or the ones that are indexed will stay indexed. Depends on the page. There are tons of pages out there that are not indexed and many that really aren't worthy of indexing.

Actually there is no guarantee that all pages in sitemap will get index. Google may or may not index all or any of pages we submit.

To make more pages index and to make them index faster, you can get some solid backlinks. They will help a lot.

If you find that some of the pages of your website are not indexed in Google, try to get backlinks for those pages and if they have backlinks, most probably, those pages will get indexed in Google :)

    It doesn't work like that.

Google will index what it wants to index, end of story.

Usually, as others have said, it depends on Google's measurement of the
importance of the page, and importance is determined by incoming links.

You, like everyone, need more links.

Try to get a few strong backlinks with the best anchor text from quality sites to those pages and please double check the keyword density before you proceed further.

Google needs time to index all your pages. Webmaster tools from Google would help you in indexing problem, too. :)

It can take sometimes over a month for those pages to be indexed so just be patient.

Google seems to work in patterns.

Firstly go for google webmaster tools and check for any crawl error if not mentioned any you must check your website for quality content it should not contain copy paste content and you can also do some offpage efforts to get the pages indexed.
submit your urls to social bookmarking sites.
