Does directory link building helps for better SERP?

Hi DP members,

About few years ago link directory link building strategy was working like charm and after - 3-4 months websites used to get better SERP and gain PR. Currently I am not sure, I see that link directory link building is almost useless. What is your opinion? Does this still working or not?

Quality paid directories are still an important SEO strategy...

 

Directory submission is best option of better SERP cause it is find free plenty and every person can use it.

 

Link directory is not sufficient to achieve high rankings on search results. You must build strong links thru related websites with quality articles. Link Wheel is one of the most effective strategy I've seen at this moment.

 

Yea it works a lot because from last past onth im watch my back links and they r increasing so as i see director works

How long time Directory website cost to release your links?

 

research your competition, do they have a ton of directory links or are they quality links from a variety of sites?
I think you will find the latter to be true.

 

Google is "Platform" Agnostic, it doesn't matter if it's a Directory, a Blog, a forum, a Social media page, regular website.. it's a case by case thing, regardless of a site being a directory or not, the questions that you should ask yourself before getting a link are : is the page you are getting the link from relevant ? not spammy ? how many outbound links ? what kind of websites are listed in that page ..

I am also going to submit my blog in Paid directories

 

Article Submission – it doesn't give high traffic but the keywords that is use as anchor text in article content helps to improved SERP.

Press Release Submission – like article the keywords in anchor text helps in SERP and also helps for promotional campaign.

I will suggest you to do submit your sites in directories, but I will warn you to be careful in selection of directories which are very much relevant to your site's content only. Moreover try to add as much descriptive text and anchor as possible and also don't repeat the anchor text or description else Google will infer that you have probably used some software to build back links. Don't overdo it. Google has a good long algorithm to evaluate the rate of growth of back links is natural or un-natural.
Also make sure that the directories are DO FOLLOW ones. else your efforts wont give results.
One more effective thing in SEO which is newer than Directories is Social Bookmarking. Try it as well.

 

If you utilize the submissions with other techniques, like a press release it is more effective.

 

I think mixture of Directory submission + Article Syndication + Social book marking & Networking + Comment posting will help you for better serp..
