    I'm not sure I understand the question. What people refer to as meta keyword is an HTML element that appears within the <head> of most HTML documents. It is used to specify keyword phrases related to the page. It's of the general form:

    <meta name="keywords" content="keyword1, keyword2, keyword phrase1, keyword phrase2, etc.">

    This element is ignored by most every search engine on the planet because when it DID influence your rankings, blackhat SEOs abused it by stuffing hundreds of keywords in the element that had nothing to do with the page's content.

    Generally speaking, you should limit the number of keywords/keyword phrases in this HTML element to 5 to 10. I try to only use keywords/keyword phrases that appear in the content of the page.

    Google give more emphasize on "Meta description" rather than "meta keyword". Give more "natural" meta description will give you better ranking than others. In fact, meta keyword still works...just put around max 8 keywords there should be fine. Just my opinion. Thanks:D

    Actually, Google uses neither the meta keywords nor the meta description in their ranking algorithm. The ONLY reason meta description is important at Google is that IF your meta description contains ALL of the keywords from the user's search phrase then Google will typically show it as the snippet in the SERPs. Otherwise, they construct a snippet using sentence fragments from the page that contain the various keywords that made up the search phrase.

    Having a well written meta description shown as the snippet instead of a Google constructed snippet can greatly increase the click-thru-rate of your URL in the SERPs. This is really the only reason meta description elements are important to Google.

    But again, the meta description (like meta keywords) element is NOT used to rank a URL for a particular keyword phrase.

    Meta KWs play a little role in ranking at SERP. I see Meta Title and Meta Description much important to focus on rather than that.

    Meta Keyword is the ignored section by most of the search engines.

    I suggest you to include keywords from your contents and limit to 8 keywords per article/post/page.

    I wouldn't spend much time on meta keywords, place 3 or 5 if you want, but google doesn't care about meta keywords.
    the meta description is still very important, I would spend more time on that meta tag if you think you much focus on something int eh meta info.

    Ideally there should be 4 to 5 keywords per page.

    According to white hat seo rules

    Title = 65 to 70 character with space or less
    Description = 150 character with space or less
    Keywords = 12 to 14 keywords or less
