How does External Links section in Wikipedia works!? I'm asking because I tried to add some link in this section and "someone" constantly delete it! In a metter of minutes...
The moderators over there are very picky. They will remove most of the commercial and spammy looking links. Even links pointing to authoritative source get removed sometimes. Don't waste too much time with Wikipedia, it's not worth it.
It is worth it if you create your own page and have a good hard link in the content. I have done this twice and both pages have stayed put.
In terms of traffic and SEO I see no benefit from Wikipedia. I have a couple of backlinks coming from Wikipedia which someone else placed
Yes the links are no follow but the amount of traffic that the page gets may be enough to drive traffic to your site.
ANd who are moderators...those who crate pages? I don't understand why I cannot add link...that is the point of wikipedia! And I get some traffic from wikipedia...because a few weeks ago my link stay for 15 days...and i get some good traffic.

@zexy ; hmmm... I think this is not the answer on this particular issue or I don't understand the wikipedia matters!? It is obviously that the tools are being used. Because the link disappears immediately after one minutes...HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE! So someone give this particular external link section on tool to autumated clear any links from others them himself!?
