theres so many ways you can get traffic to your website you just need to find 1 or 2 methods and just master them. theres many different traffic methods people have posted above.
I have seemed to have mastered twitter, I am getting around 4,000 hits per day. the trick is to create multiple accounts, and follow people so that they will follow you back, think about it, if you have 20 accounts with 500 follower a piece, thats 10,000 followers on twitter, and this can be done within a week, imagine what you can do in a couple of months.

@ zahir - You have to give them a reason to follow you back with an interesting bio and picture etc. The problem with Twitter marketing is that the traffic is notoriously difficult to convert, even if you have a great product or service.
Try to blog creation ( wordpress & blogspot ) and easy way to get one-way back links are Article & Directory Submission. Also submit the link in social networking site like digg , face book and twitters .
