It's the best way to get FAST backlinks to your websites and the easiest. Why do it yourself when you can have software to do it for you. You would save alot of time via software.

Getting free traffic is only possible if you have a ton of quality content and all your pages indexed by search engines. Most blogs now are nofollow, so do not waste your time on those. Spend more time on your own site and less on other people's sites.

Directories are really good but you have to pay for the best to get one-way back links. Article submissions are quite ood as well as blog commenting but they are all hard work.
