    I would strongly advice paying $5.00 per month for hosting and installing WordPress to run your site. You have much more flexibility while running your own site. I use WordPress and could not work without it.

    If I were you I would buy your own domain. You can get hosting really cheap, it's worht it int he long run.

    If you really don't want to pay for hosting, then use one of the free hosts out there and just buy the domain for like 7 bucks a year. You can't beat that price!

    If you are ready to pay few bucks, wordpress rocks!
    This is the most loved blogging platform.

    There are plugins for everything you can dream of.
    You can really make a great looking simple blog within everything you need to with the help of wordpress and be sure you have some cool domain and a reliable host.
