1000 unique visitors a day, 20-30 clicks only?

2~3% CTR is not bad. Better try on improve your CPC and traffic

 

for me i am satisfied with your placement, perhaps you also need more traffic like i do..

It's not that shabby. I have 500-700 uniques and 5-15 clicks.
I earn like 3-4 US a day on that though

 

Well, if you have 1000 unique visitors why do you concentrate on adsense? Better concentrate on advertisers other than adsense.

Now, your placements are good but yes its the niche that has the problem. Almost every tech guy knows about adsense and that's why you don get too many clicks.

 

Yeah I know.. I've tried Amazon and other affiliate marketing (clickbanks, CJ, etc) but most of them only give me pennies

I'm a bit lazy to manually find and contact private advertisers I'm trying buysellads.com but haven't got an approval yet....

 

Just my opinion......

I would move the 336x280 box to below your post instead of the top.
why?
Because after your visitors finish reading/looking through your post bang-o there are the ads
for their viewing pleasure.

I would then put a 336x280 box at the top right sidebar
why?
That one is there for your visitors who have the heavy mouse and just quickly look at your site
and then leave hopefully through your ads.

I would replace the 468x15 text ads with the 728x15 and move it just under your navigation link bar.
why?
It simply looks better and makes all your ad placements seem as they belong where they are.

I would also consider another 336x280 lower in your sidebar IMAGE ADS only
why?
Believe it or not, even though many site visitors are ad blind, image ads give your site a professional look.

Also, this is just my personal opinion. The color red might not be the best choice, from looking at your site I think blue would be a much better look and feel, not just for the ads but for all the links. I would change it all to blue.

Thanks for the great feedback, wilderr67! I'm about to change my theme but I'll keep your suggestions in mind. I've tried last time moving the ads to the bottom of the posts but it got less clicked than the top position (before the post) so I moved it back

when t comes to adsense i suggest making as many autoblogs as u can and forget them just let them grow by there selves

 

What advertisers are these?

I have tried Burst and Doubleclick, they were not great paying a couple years ago. Has anyone had experience with tribal fusion? Apparently they can pay well.
