CGI script for chmod 777

    Hi all. Firstly sorry if this isnt the right thread to ask this question here. I've a websites that has a hosting under Hostgator and using wordpress theme.The theme requires me to change chmod 777 to a certain folder in order for the theme to function entirely.The technician from Hostgator said that by default Hostgator wont allow 777 chmod setting due to security purpose unless if I created a cgi script ... Can someone help me by pointing me to any good places to learn this script... Any suggestion would be helpful for me.

    hi.. thanks for your help.. but i need to find cgi script that can change chmod which also in the same time bypass the hostgator default setting that prohibits permission 777....
    i tried to google but still cannot find the script...

    it's very simple here is a short example of how your CGI should look like:

    That's all you can change 0755 to whatever you need
