Just went on google to do a search and noticed that they have introduced a new link for Video search.

Also look at the new video upload beta

Yeah I had seen it early when going to the groups ... was frustrating , but it may be something good in the near future.

Interestingly Groups and froogle have moved out of the search page of Google.

Does it means google is too keen to promote video search rather than google groups and froogle

Youtube can start worrying now. Since Google has an advantage on being featured on the search page.

How many people really use froogle anyways? I think video is a good idea, youtube however is dominating the market in my opinion.

I never had much luck with my listings in froogle, even though they came really high in the results (not much competition either). Youtube is dominating the market at the moment, but I think this could change over the coming months if Google wants to muscle their way in.
