A few of you know about this; most do not, but I am frequently asked by directory owners how I submit to directories so quickly without ever having any problems. The answer is a Firefox extension I developed about a year ago specifically designed for web directory submission. I have been using it since. A few months back, I added the sidebar management features, and since it works so ideally for me, it made me think about offering it to others. I thought about it for quite some time, and finally decided to do so. So, then I stated working on the demo you will see below. The extension saves massive amounts of time with directory submissions. I can honestly say it is the best solution I have found (well, of course I designed it to work exactly the way I thought would be best). The sidebar functionality is perfect for managing directories and keeping track of which sites you have submitted to which directories, etc., especially given the seamless integration with the browser and form filling. Anyway, enough with the talk. Take a look for yourself. I spent a lot of time making this demo. I think it came out very well. It will take about 6 minutes to view it. It does not display as well on low resolution displays because of the area it needed to cover, especially at the form field assignment, but I think almost anyone should be able to watch it. I think you'll be glad you did. http://www.mystikmedia.com/form_filler/form_filler_demo.htm Here's the form filler's web page too (not much information there compared to what I have said above). Don't use Firefox? That's a shame. This extension is the biggest reason I could never switch back to IE. IE does not provide the flexibility for 3rd party addon integration to interact with the browser extensively enough to implement this functionality. Any questions or comments, as always, do not hesitate to let me know...
Looking very good.. (indeed took me 6 minutes to watch) Tempting to buy a copy.. May I make one suggestion.. Maby would be an addition to create several options for title, description and keywords. When I submit to a web directory I use over 10 different variations with title, description and keyword.. Nice plugin! Does it work with any directory script or just phplinkdirectory?
Looks a very good idea! After article submitters, we have a directory submission software. Very cool!
Its just great. Though I recently bought the full version of Roboform, but your extension is far better than Roboform.
Yes, I do have that planned for a future update. Updates to the extension are free to buyers. It works with 99% of scripts. I have only ever run into one script that would not work. You will need to map a field here and there (although most are supported correctly automatically).
There's a link to purchase at the end of the demo and on the product page. You can have it after submitting payment.
Does it select the categories automatically? I don't want to hijack the thread, but I have to say that Directory Expert does this plus has more pre-defined directories, selects categories automatically based on wildcards you define, automatically detects and checks off successful submissions, you don't have to choose your profile on every submission page AND costs less.
Actually, it does not include more directories. By default, it does not include any, but upon request, 409 directories can be included. My list is not only free directories, though. The extension does not select the category. I tried the Directory Expert program, btw. It was good, but not very flexible. It may be different now, but there were a few things that prevented me from using it. I also like the ability to work inside my own browser environment rather than an additional application with size restraints and such.
Demo Builder. I tried a lot of the different programs, but liked the way that one worked and the options provided best.
