wordpress 2.8.4 security

    Hi.. I know this may sounds annoying but what are the most common things that I need to make changes to my wordpress files for security purpose? I'm new to blogging and using the latest wordpress 2.8.4 but for precaution I would be glad if you all can share it with me here..

    i noticed in the latest wordpress 2.8.4, all the file has been put a permission - 644 & folder -755 ... is that enough with just letting right secure permission?
