$75.00 Logo Contest - Duration 72hrs

G'day fellow DP'ers,

Due to a large volume of personal local & international work I am now outsourcing some designing projects to help remain on schedule.

I will be running a series of contests for logo's & site designs, this contest will be the first with a prize value $75.00

LOGO DETAILS:

• Your task is to re-create an original design as close to the orb/globe depicted in this link HERE or a complete replica of the globe, font variations most welcomed as long as it looks good
• Text to be used will be the same: Headline " OPUS " & Tag " WORLDWIDE "
• The end product logo will be placed for the interim on a white content area of the site, the sites main background will be #0b1b2a so making use of #ffffff & #0b1b2a as your background to see how it looks.

CONTEST DETAILS: Duration 72hrs

• Logo must be large scale layered PSD.
  
• Submit design entries for 72 hours from the time stamp on this post.
  
• To be fair: No entries via PM and no late entries, so please do not post the usual "please wait for my entry", if you do not have the time to enter then please don't, it's only fair to those that have!
  
• Every 12 & 24hr period designs will be presented to my client and his response to your design(s) will be posted here once they have replied in relation to your design that has been submitted.
  
• Winning design must be " FULLY LAYERED PSD" with any & all fonts used to also be supplied at completion of this contest.
  
• Payment is via PayPal only so please do not ask for any other format.

RULES:

• Artwork must be "ORIGINAL" You must create the design yourself
• No templates
• You must not use any images you do not have the right to use
• When submitting your artwork to this contest please protect your design by all means in a fashion that does not lose the viewing pleasure of your creation, a simple embossed " DRAFT " is fine
• If chosen as the "WINNER" you agree to give me full rights to your design and you agree that you will not use this design for anything else or your portfolio.
• If your design has not been chosen as the winner please remove them from this thread after the contest is over to avoid your designs being copied by lurking wannabe designers.
• The 72 hour deadline will be enforced as long as there are at least five entries. One person can submit as many entries as he or she wants.
• Finally the client reserves the right not to chose an outright winner but is willing to work with the designer he feels comes closest to what he wants via revisions to conclude a successful creation.

SUGGESTIONS:

• Colours to be used - Orange / Blue or if you feel something else may look good please also submit it to be viewed by the client
• Use THIS as your starting point!

a psd vector? and fonts what if they are vector outlines?

@ Richard.Westman: thank you for your entry mate, not really what I am looking for,
definately good to see another Aussie entering these contests.

@ Sarsh: "as close to the orb/globe" can be defined as "replica" buddy
Nice entry & pretty close to what the client wants straight off the bat,
Put it on a white background please mate, lose the gradient on the font & make
the sub the same length as the headline.

I have now included the term " replica " in the contest guidelines!

@ DCStudio: can I see that in similar colours to Sarshs!

@ gman: throw it on a white background please!

@ richard: try smoothing/crisping up your lines

@mitcharr: good to see another Aussie entering mate, with a white bg can you try it with similar colours to sarsh's,
also if you could enlarge 50% for client viewing.

First round of submissions will be presented to the client in 6hrs

I have integrated the logo in the text making it like an "O"
