I want to do a lil bit pre-sale survey regarding the "need for speed". The question is how many of you willing to pay more for 10GBps unmetered shared port VPS.

Please vote on the pole :) thank you.

    The vps spec would be:

    30GB Disk Space
    256mb
    10GBps Unmetered Multi-Homed Network (Shared)
    1 IP Address
HyperVM Xen (So you got swap twice of ur innital dedicated ram)

You would almost never make a return on 30$ a month with the cost of that port speeds/bandwidth.

Agreed. No way you can get that type of power on one sever without paying $xx,xxx/month, and at that, there's no way you can profit off hundreds of dollars per VPS. What DC are you looking into?

I could not disclosed the DC here for competitive reason. I have run 10GBps test and it does look like they did offer uncaps bandwidth ranged from 10mbps - 10gbps and ofc the speedtest mini show 7XXXmbps for upload and download with no static result.

    Torrent file download test:

    5 seeder 15 leecher - 701mb avi file
    3 min - 7 min
    100+ seeder & leecher 735mb avi file
A min + few second :) (less than 2 min)

It was so good to be true right? :) What I see is that they use multi home network to supply their speed. I will provide a speedtest for public later :) (untill I get the server ready).

10mbps uncapped generally should transfer 1mb/s and 100mbps = 10mb/s depends upon location , if same data center just like ovh where most of seed box at same dc on 1000mbit internal connection may achieve upto 80mb per second so you can download a whole 700mb file in just 10 seconds
as you mentioned you downloaded an 700mb file in less than 2 min assume it as 90 seconds as per my calculation it should be 200mbps

Either way this guy isn't going to be able to afford a 10gbps connection on one sever (unless its shared with several thousand) and make a profit here. Sounds like complete BS to me.

Yep I will provide speedtest.net mini for this.

I was given an offer by some DC for this so I'm here to see people reaction regarding this. I was shock to when they offer me this. I even ask for test dedicated server for it. Sound like complete BS? Then vote for high price for it :)

Big or not it doesn't matter here. It's a survey remember?

Well well.. If I got a good deal why should I come from future to offer you this :) That does make you sound like a kids who love "Back to the future" movie isn't it :) (well i love that movie.. really..)

ovh is offering 10 gbps now, a dedicated server will cost someting like 600 euro with ssd drives nearly 1k euro , so he is not dreaming welcome to the world of 10 giga downloads

i just checked ovh forums the port speed of 10gbps is for HG 2009 series servers and on ovh network only, presently they offer maximum 1gbps to internet (other networks) in future (soon) they are going to offer 3gbps to internet .
