I can see this being used in a professional presentation - where you might be having a face to face meeting. But not showing your face decreases your credibility. If your going to buy a car, do you want to meet and talk with the sales rep? It would be nice. Hiding your face behind powerpoint slides is ok for certain things, but not everything.

Powerpoint can work well especially if kept short and sweet. Just use images instead of text. Music is OK, but a compelling commentary will work better. Then your video will appeal to visual and auditory people.
