Is it harder to get indexed nowadays?

Is it just me or is it harder to get indexed anymore? I used to be able to get indexed in a day or less, and now it seems it takes a week or two sometimes more...

This is all with my new sites. That said, I just launched one and I am waiting to see how long it's going to take to be indexed...it was really nice when bluehat's quit tool was still around, it got the job done quickly.

It really sucks, I have lots of good projects on the way, but if they don't get out in a timely manner, that can hinder the profitability and success of the sites.

Yes, it really strange for me, some of my pages also took almost 3 weeks to be indexed, is that changing in rule or just a glitch?

I made a new site in August.

I was indexed the same day that I built the first links for it.

(It is a blog. I know Google loves blogs, so can't really say how it is currently treating other type of sites).

Maybe Google is having Indian reviewers review all new sites? Or perhaps...something is getting updated? Maybe an algo update, or hardware update, or PR update...those things all could cause slowness, which is worst case senario, since Google has never fully crashed.

Hardware update ? i doubt google works on so many diffrent servers that this hardly matters i guess. Google loves blogs because blogs ping google after every update .

Google has hundreds if not thousands of servers on every continent.

Open a blogger account, use it, add link to your site. Get indexed.

I would definitely agree that it takes longer nowadays to get indexed...I personally just plug my website into Google Analytics, basically forcing at least Google to index my site.

I've never had problems getting my sites indexed, but those have all been blogs
I can get any new url indexed in one week or less, same as always.

I disagree, Google still indexing my sites new/old ones as well in almost no time !!!
Maximum 2 days indexing is not an issue for newly registered websites :)

However, indexing of new content is based on your website content in the main place and your site backlinks profile ;)

Just keep on working and follow the main steps instep to get indexed as fast as possible ;)
