Is it worth spending time on Twitter?

I am working on Twitter from last few months but I am not able to generate traffic to my site. Now I have started wondering whether Twitter is really as good as most of the people claim.

 

Twitter has proven totally useless for me. I haven't gained any traffic with it.

 

Twitter is useless, i think all social media websites are useless

 

Twitter takes very little time once you get it set up to your liking, I say why not, eventually it may take off for you...

 

if your getting a little traffic and posting a few updates doesn't take too long so i don't see why you don't carry on. But if your getting NO traffic i would stop.

 

Twitter is a time killer. I use it only as a marketing tool.

I totally disagree with you. Twitter and facebook are the most use full platforms and can help you to drive a good quality traffic to your site. Some thing should be wrong at your end might be you are not planning properly or not executing it in a proper manner.

Why wouldn't you use Twitter? It's about how you market, of course you're not going to generate possible sales/leads if all you're posting is marketing tweets. You're likely to get more sales if you're actually tweeting, and not just spamming.

Just my two cents.

 

Well, I think its completely useless until you have some good number of followers who read your tweets.
Nowadays I don't use it much.

I've played around with it but still haven't found the fine line between marketing and spamming on it. I spend very little time with it currently.

 

Twitter is good to generate traffic but you need to either spend alot if time there or spamming there.
I prefer spend my time on SEO than social media

 

it does help temporary but backlink last forever.

 

I find twitter only useful for certain demographics. If you're not having success it's either because you're not targeting the right people or your market just doesn't utilize twitter.

yea twitter is very much use full because i got traffic from twitter as well

 

You still could expect some traffic from twitters, but nowadays it is infested by spammer.

 

i have been registering twitter since months ago but no seeing significant traffic
