Is it ok to have more than one Google Webmaster Tools Account

Hi,

Is it ok to have more than one account in Google Webmaster Tools per one person? and why if not?

 

I have several Google Accounts, each I use for an individual independent site. Each account uses a unique email but my real name and contact info.

 

Yah I think that would be Okay as long as you are honest with the accounts you made...

Yeah I have a couple as for different things. Just make sure you are abbiding by the their rules and don't abuse the accounts.

 

I suggest that you do a lot of R&D by going through Adsense policies. I feel that an individual cannot have more than one Google account. But not sure. Please check.

 

Google's TOS don't say anything about multiple accounts and Webmaster Tools links to the Google's TOS, so you may have as much Webmaster Tools accounts as you like as long as you abide by the Google's TOS (and only those TOS and not the TOS of other Google services mentioned below).

However, specific Google services have specific TOS. For example AdSense has their own TOS which states that you can not use multiple AdSense accounts. So in other words, you may have multiple Google Accounts and you can use each of them for all of the Google's services (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Webmaster Tools), except for those services that do not allow more than one account per individual (AdSense, AdWords and probably other services too, so you check out the corresponding service's TOS before trying to use it with multiple Google Accounts).

yes you can use i think several accounts for serveral sites, but make sure for one site, you need to make only one account

Yes I have 3 google webmaster tools with different sites installed .. I don't think it is a problem.

They even allow multiple Webmaster Tools account owners to claim the same website on their account list (I think).

It has been said that duplicate adsense account is not allowed
But duplicate webmaster tool is ok

 

The original poster asked if he could have more than one Webmasters account, not Adsense. I highly suggest you read the thread, instead of trying to gain more post count.


As for the original poster, yes... you may have more than one Google Webmasters account, as long as you don't abuse it and keep it limited. I would think that having maybe 1-4 accounts would be okay, now if you had more than 20 accounts for Google Webmasters, than that would definitely raise a flag.

Little confused on your query...
--Google allows only single account for one email ID.
--In each WMT account can add multiple sites..
--Should not add same sites in multiple WMT account bcz need to place some code in the index page. So for each account need to be add the meta tag. If Google found many entry may be in trouble

 

I only have two accounts on Google. One for my personal stuff and the other one for business.

 

I think it is OK, I have a couple different ones. Different email address on each one.
