Make sure the title in the browser describes your site (make it as short as possible) If you can make the urls that appear in the status bar friendlier for search engines - example; change http://www.BestCateringMiami.com/home_page.html to http://www.BestCateringMiami.com/best_catering_in_miami.html
Get a PR3 link to your site. This method has worked for me every time. I've seen a brand new site appear on Google within a day. Depending on the popularity of the keywords, it may even appear on the first page up to a week, but eventually, it will fall into place. This may work with < PR3 links, but all of my tries have been with PR3 links. Good luck!

This is exactly what I did. It got me listed reasonably quickly, but I had to work at my seo to get to the top of google rankings for my specific keyword (at least in my area). Now I'm working on the other keywords that have caught my eye.

Register you site with google webmasters, Google analytics and create google sitemap and submit your sitemap to google. Normally what i do is creat a blog on that domain, bookmark submit rss feed it get index fast, then delete and create whatever site i want, make sure the meta tags for the site are in order.
