How to optimize for long tailed keywords?

Say, I want to list my site to top # 5 for a long keyword which has about 4-7 words. Is that possible to get backlinks for this via blogs?

How you all are getting links for these cases? :d

You can write articles in articles directories and put in them links with the anchor text of your keyword phrase.
You can comment in blogs and put your your keyword phrase as a link too.
In your articles in your site you can put your keyword phrase in title and H tags.

Ya. Just make sure that your keyword phrase is in the title of your articles and link it in the resource box.

Concentrate on getting links with the anchor text being the long tail search term and you will start ranking better for them.

I will not use blog commenting in this case as the anchor text will be your name .. it is better to submit articles and directorys to get backlinks for your keywords

use the keyword tool to find words based around your keyword and then write articles about each keyword, placing the keyword in the title and h1 tags.
    good luck

Long-tailed keywords are easy to rank high on search results. In most of my sites/blog, I normally comment to blogs and forums. They work if properly done!
