Suggestion Increased Quota for PM folders

Not sure if I'm the only one who feels this way, but I would love to get a little more quota allocated for my PM folders. I like keeping past/current BST and PM correspondences in my inbox but I just seem to have so many of them. I also keep a spreadsheet of all my transactions with everything but I think it's important to keep the replies especially relating to past BST to ensure the seller/buyer actually follows through with what they promise, plus once deleted the MODs don't have access to any potential 'evidence.'

Just a though, let me know what you folks think.

Mods can't read people's PMs, so not sure what you mean by keeping them for "evidence".

As far as raising the number of allowed PMs for normal users, I don't see that happening to be honest. Would rather have less PMs in the system, not more (notice how PMs are auto-deleted?)

You get an email for each PM. It contains the body.

Why not just keep that for future requirements?

or do what a lot of users do, download them and save on your computer, then delete them off the server.

Yeah I suppose, they go to one of my email accounts, not so much of an issue but whenever I do anything and I mean anything in BST I get by PMS and often times when I make a deal I keep the PM URL for my own records, suppose I could do things a little differently. @shawn, had no idea mods couldn't get into the PMs, admins can though right?

    Too true! [IMG]

Maybe this could be an upcharged convenience item for paid members?

Periodically downloading PM's is a hassle.

Well they would have to download them once in awhile anyway because the auto-deletion of PMs isn't going away. There has been more than 27,000,000 PMs in the system, so not auto-deleting them after a certain time frame would be a complete waste of server resources. Plus, you don't really have to download them at all since the PM text in it's entirety is in the email notification you get when you get a PM.

Ahh... true. I am being completely retarded by not having email notifications enabled.

I turned it off years ago when I realized that I never logged out of DP and I was getting every message twice.
